Chocolate lovers unite!

Last week M&M’s officially arrived in India. Even though the brand has been sold in the United States for over 75 years, M&M’s market has been long dominated by rival Cadbury’s Gems in India.  Mars Inc., which sells brands such as Twix, Snickers, Bounty, Skittles, and Galaxy, feels the country’s appetite for expensive chocolates and is now ready to launch their famous M&M’s.  A specially designed pack at Rs80 will be available.

At Rs12,000 crore, India is one of the world’s fastest-growing chocolate markets. Because Mars, Inc. has only been in India for five years, they had to get creative with the Indian market and respond to local traditions.  A green dot is placed on products  which means the package does not contain eggs. Who knows what they might come up with next as India expands its love for sweets and chocolates!
